Cort Ahl

Cort is a Founder and Partner at 67 Capital, where he serves on the Investment Committee and leads the investment function.  Prior to 67, Cort was a Partner on the SDCL Private Equity team. Cort was previously a Partner at Volery Capital, having joined the firm in 2019, after Ares Management invested. During that time, he was a member of the Volery Investment Committee and served on the Boards of several portfolio companies, including SDCL and Buckle, and now Ubicquia. Cort has more than ten years of experience in the financial services industry and seven years of experience as an investment professional. Before Volery, he was an associate at Apollo Global Management, where he focused on control acquisitions of financial services businesses in sub-sectors incl uding asset management, insurance, specialty finance, real estate, real assets and financial technology, as well as corporate development activities. Prior to joining Apollo, Cort was a member of the private equity investment team at Neuberger Berman, where he focused on private equity and credit investments in a range of sub-sectors including technology, software, business services, financial services, retail and industrials. Prior to joining Neuberger Berman, he spent two years as an investment banking analyst at Nomura. Cort holds a B.A. from Duke University.
